Internet giant Yahoo has reportedly unveiled this year's top ten 'most searched for' tech items list, which has seen Apple as an unrivaled winner once again.
The iPhone has come out to be the most searched for tech product of 2013, proving that Apple still has the Tech Factor.
According to Daily Star, Apple is followed by Amazon's Kindle and Samsung Galaxy smartphone. However, Apple's i Pad is comparatively less searched for than Samsung device, but has still booted Sony and Microsoft's gaming consoles.
The top ten searches for tech items in 2013 include:

Smartphone app to give earthquake warning:-
By next year, your smartphone could be ready to give you an earthquake warning, according to scientists at the World Science Forum in Rio de Janeiro. An app designed to give such warnings is in the making at the University of California, Berkeley.
Researchers from the university showed off the project this week at a conference on how to use technology to ward off natural disasters, AFP reports. The app is based on technology used in an early warning system prepared by a team under Professor Richard Allen, director of the UC Berkeley Seismological Laboratory.
The smartphone app is capable of providing an alert between a few seconds and one minute before a tremor hits, depending on where an individual using it is in relation to the epicenter. To do this, the app captures initial energy from the tremor, the so-called P wave or primary wave, which rarely itself causes damage.

They will join after their graduation in 2014. Each will earn $1,00,000 (Rs 62,39,000) as annual base salary, $75,000 (approximately Rs 46,80,000) as a one-time signing bonus and FB stocks worth $1,00,000 that would be handed out over four years.
Of the four non-IITians selected, three — Anish Shankar, Shubhanshu Aggarwal and Rohit Girdhar — are from an autonomous university, the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H). They have accepted the pre-placement offer.

A Man Found Dead While He Was Holding A Mobile Phone..
"A MAN ELECTROCUTED" CHARGING iPhone:-
The man was found face down on the floor of a room holding a black 4S mobile that was plugged into the wall through a charger. The charging instrument is suspected to be a third-party device.
Media reports speculate that the man was likely talking on the phone while charging it and the charger could have overheated.
Cause of death is considered to be electrocution by a sub-standard charging device. Police are waiting for autopsy reports in order to move forward with proceedings. Loud voices were also heard from the room but were ignored by the people nearby as they didn’t consider it an emergency situation.
A Chinese stewardess was also executed in 2013 by a third-party charger which led Apple to offer a two-month USD 10 replacement program for non-standard chargers. Almost all major smartphone giants have recently faced such incidents. Earlier, a house was reportedly burned down in Hong Kong by an explosion from Samsung Galaxy S4.

Engineering students with bad handwriting may end up getting zero marks, according to a Mumbai University circular.
A notice was issued to students as part of guidelines for answering papers for a newly-introduced online assessment process. Answer-sheets of engineering students taking exams this month will be assessed online as a pilot project. It will be extended to other faculties in subsequent semester-end exams.
The university has listed nine guidelines for students. "If examiners do not understand handwriting, students will get zero marks. This should be noted by students," the circular stated. Another point, which many students said they were not informed about before the exams, was the requirement to use a black ball pen. Since the paper has to be scanned and uploaded for online assessment, it was a pre-requisite to avoid staining the other side of sheets.
A student said, "We are engineering students and they are testing us on the understanding of the subject, not writing skills. Even if our handwriting is poor, they cannot give zero marks." A final year repeater who wrote the paper on November 25 said they were not informed about the pen notification.

Wayin has partnered up with the Denver Broncos to project tweeted photos and tweets from fans onto the Sports Authority Field at Mile High's Thunder-vision 2, the stadium's marquee 40-foot high, by 220 foot wide video scoreboard.
The software allows ads to be placed next to the tweets to generate revenue. It's unclear how that could impact Twitter's bottom line. None of the companies would discuss how much money is generated through the deal.
The Broncos rolled out Wain's software during the game versus division rival Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 17.
The team uses the software to search terms or so-called hash tags to find tweets by category from the thousands sent about the game and then pick the ones to send to the scoreboard and 1,100 television screens throughout the stadium, as well as to the Broncos social media hub on the Web.
